Location And Population.Bordered on the North by Cherry Hills Village and Denver, with Centennial to the South, Greenwood Village is set in a central location of Southern Denver, giving easy access to I-25 for commuters to either Downtown Denver or the Denver Tech Center. Only 12 miles from the heart of Denver, Greenwood Village is a vibrant and progressive community with a population of about 12,000 people. Originally a rural community, Greenwood Village has maintained its rural heritage while adapting to life in the big city, with urban residential areas and also a rural community of dirt roads and horse pastures.Outdoors And Entertainment.Greenwood Village is scattered with both natural and man-made parks, as well as bike paths and walking trails. There are more than 39 miles of bike trails, and 18 parks, including Westlands Park, the number one park in the Denver Metro Area according to the Rocky Mountain News.
