Location And Population.Located West of Centennial and Greenwood Village, and North of Highlands Ranch, the City of Littleton is most known for its' historic and beautiful Downtown district. During the 1990's, Littleton began to focus on preservation of their Downtown section, and is now one the most gorgeous areas in the Denver Metro area, with a historic feel unlike anywhere else. With a population of just over 40,000, Littleton is intersected by Santa Fe Dr for easy access to Downtown Denver, and bordered on the South by County Line Rd, only one block North of C-470.Outdoors And Entertainment.With the 30-acre Hudson Gardens on Sante Fe, the 650-acre South Platte Park, and the 14-acre Littleton Historical Museum, Littleton always has something to do within close range. Bicycling, fishing, hiking, and kayaking are only some of the outdoor activities you will enjoy in Littleton. And if theatre is your thing, The Town Hall Arts Center is home to theatre performances for all age groups.Schools And Education.The City of Littleton is serviced by Littleton Public Schools and Jefferson County School District. Littleton Public Schools is a mid-size School District, but still large enough to offer a wide variety of educational opportunities, featuring over 25 total schools and currently has just over 16,000 students enrolled. Jefferson County School District is the largest School District in Colorado also offering a wide variety of educational experiences. With over 130 Schools in the District, Jefferson County has over 85,000 Students enrolled.
